HONOURS CONFERRED

INVESTITURE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE. [ Ter Press Association. | WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. The Governor-General held an investiture at Government House to-night, at which he conferred the honour of knighthood upon the Honourable E. A. Ransom, investing him with the insiunia of a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of SL Michael and St. George. His Excellency also invested Major-General Sir William Sinclair-Burgess with the insignia of a Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, and conferred upon Brinadi?rGeneral Sir Herbert Hart the honour of knighthood and invested him with the insignia of the same order. Later the Governor-General presented to Sir Francis Frazer the Royal letters patent conferring upn him the degree, title and dignity of a Knight Bachelor.
