A r-pvMal meeting of tho A'lanawatu County Council was held cn Tuesday to meet representatives of the Alain Highways Board to discuss the question of reaching finality in connection with fhe sealing of lhe final eight milei of the Sandon-Hiinatangi Road. The Highways Board was represented by Messrs. M. H. Wynyard, W. Morrison ami G. J. Albertson (engineer). Alessrs. H. H. Sharp (district engineer) and A R. Acheson (assistant engineer), of the Public Works Department, were also present. I'he were taken in committee. but the chairman (Air. W. E. Barber) intimated today that a satisfactory basis of agreement, had been arrived al. and he stated that there vviis every prospect of the work being proceeded with at. an earlv date.
