WANGANUI ASSOCIATION FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY WOMEN’S REPRESENTATIVE MATCH The Wanganui Hockey Association’s competition for men will be continued next Saturday on Gonviile Park. Much interest is centered in the match between Old Boys and Hinemoa, the former having a two point lead over the latter for the championship and should they win on Saturday the trophy will go to them. The Wanganui women’s representative team will be playing a return match against Rangitikei at Marton on Saturday. A strong team has been selected and it should give a better account of itself onethis occasion. The forward line is a particularly strong one. The following are the fixtures with the grounds and umpires allotted;— Men's A Section Hinemoa v. Old Boys on No. 1 ground at 2 p.m. (Umpires, Messrs. Tizard and Adams.) Wesley v. Y.M.U.A. on ground at 3 p.m. (Messis. Glenny and Weir.) Men’s B Section Hinemoa v. Technical c-n No. 3 ground at 2 p.m. (Messrs. Glenny and Weir.) Women’s Representatives The following women’s representa live team has oecn selected io play Rangitikei at Marton next Saturday: Goal, L. ttpicer; full-backs, V. Clark, A. Kerwin; halves, D. Taiarou (it), J. Gurr, J. Walker; forwards, M. Corny, ? M. Dashficld, K. Brooks (captain), h. Connybeer and N. Teki (0.G.). Emergencies, Xu lakatua (Katana), back; C. Owen, forward. Manager, Mr. \\. Upton. Umpire Mr. C. A. Condie. Any player who is holding a r pre sentative unifrom and whose name does not appear in the above list should leave the uniform at the lie nuwn as early as possible, where tne new players should call for them. The cars will leave from Drew’s, Maria Place, at 1.45 p.m. sharp. The Katana players should be on the look out lor the cars at the junction of the main road. Colta’ Team for Wellington On Saturday, September 21, a Wan genui junior representative team will play a match against Wellinglv.i juniors at Wellington. The following team has been selected to represent Wanganui: Goal, Sharland; full backs, Breed, Myers; halves, Allen, L. Byres, Cairncross; forwards, L. Stewart, R. Sherriff, A. Howatson captain), E. Wallace, McGrath. Emergencies, McElwain (back), M. Stewart (forward). Should any player in either of the above teams be unable to make the trip they should notify Mr. C.
