AUCKLAND MARKET PRICES AUCKLAND, September 3 The potato market is well supplied with, southern tubers and prices are lower than they were a week ago. Merchants arc now quoting £lO 5s per ton through store and report an excellent demand. Seed lines are still selling steadily. Onions are very scarce at present, but there will be an easing at the close of the week, when the Monterey is due with a fresh shipment of Californian. These are being quoted to arrive at. 20s per bag. Some small lots of Canadian onions came by the Aorangi and have been selling at about 21s per case. Horse feed sells steadily, but trade Is restricted. Oats arc very firm, but prices are unchanged. Chaff, too, rs unaltered. Milling wheat released bv the New Zealand Wheatgrowers’ Association at fowl wheat prices is having a ready sale at about 5s 7d per bushel through store. Maize from the Bay of Plenty is coming to hand steadily and sells at about 4s 3d per bushel.
