DUNEDIN SOUTH SEAT MR. SLDEY APPROACHED ( Per Press Association ) DUNEDIN, Aug. 27. A deputation of electors of Dunedin South waited on Mr. T. K. Sidey this morning requesting him to allow his name to be considered for that seat in the National interests. Mr. Sidney promised to give a decision at an early date. KATANA CANDIDATES [ Per Press Association. 1 GISBORNE, Aug. 27. It was reported at the recent Maori gathering at Nuhaka that Katana candidates will contest all four Maori seats at the forthcoming elections. The candidates have been on a tour of the North Island with Mr. Ratana as a preliminary to the campaign. GOVERNMENT’S POLICY ME RANSOM AT WOODVILLE [ Per Press Association. 1 WOODVILLE, Aug. 27. Sir Alfred Ransom addressed his first public meeting at Woodville for seven years last evening. Thfire was a fair attendance. The Minister spoke on the lines of his Pahiatua address, outlining the general policy of the Government and vigorously criticising the Labour Party. He had a good reception with few interjections.
