Alajor Douglas, originator of the credit scheme, in an interview, sail he was confident that it would be implemented in Alberta. Hu insisted that Air. Aberhart’s promise of 25 dollars a month was practicable, though doubtless it would have to be developed by stages. “I do not fear the banks. They are made into bogeys. Aberhart states that the 25 dollars a month social credit bonus wii not bo paid if it threatens Alberta with bankruptcy. Predicting a new election in Alberta within six months, the Premier (Air. Taschereau) warns Mr. Aberhart that he canont expect other provinces to make sacrifices through the House of Commons tn help Alberta’s fantastic experiment. Air. G. G. McGee r, Mayor of Vancouver, who has come back from his Alberta campaign on behalf of the Liberals, declares that Air. Aberhart’s 25 dollars’ promise is the most cruel hoax ever perpetrated on a suffering people by a group of visionary and impracticable political adventurers.
