PACIFIC EXHIBITION
PALMERSTON’S DESIRE. [ Per Press Association. 1 PALMERSTON N., Aug. 20. An ambitious project for the organisation in Palmerston North of a South Pacific Exhibition, similar to the last big exhibition of that nature at Dunedin, was mooted at a meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, the suggestion being that the event take place in the autumn of 1937. The general committee endorse' - ’ the proposal, and the secretary was instructed to get in touch with organisations likely to be interested and report the support likely to be accorded. Possibly A. and P. Associations and the Winter Show m:.y be incorporated in the exhibition. It is understood that the scheme will be advanced in general terms at a meeting of the Fifty Thousand Club this evening.
