He said, that while in Washington he hoped, to see Mr. Roper and Mr. Roosevelt, and perhaps discuss with the former the Pacific shipping situation as regards American carriers operating between Australia and New Zealand, lie emphasised, however, that he was not authorised to make a protest, as Cabinet had not decided on such action, but he intimated that the question was under consideration.
