GOLF. In the men’s medal match yesterday, J. Lawson proved the winner, 84—24 —60. J. O’Callaghan was run-ner-up with 68 —5—63. •T. Lawson reduced his handicap from 24 to 18, J. O’Callaghan 5 to 3. Ladies’ Golf. The second round for Mr. J. O ’Callaghan’s trophy was played during the week-end. Mrs. L. Bailey won with / down, and Mrs. O’Callaghan runnerup, 8 down. Reductions in handicaps: Mrs. Bailey 26 to 23, Mrs. O’Callaghan .21 to 19. PERSONAL. Air. B. Bailey (Kawhatau i has returned from a holiday spent in Wellington. Miss M. Dickinson is visiting friends at Martinborough. Mrs. Jordon leaves to-day for Hast ings. Mr. M. Dickson, Palmerston North, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. Dickson. DRAUGHTS TOURNAMENT.
