CARD TOURNAMENT. The final card tournamfcit in aid of funds tor the Anglican Church was held on Saturday evening, ami was very well patronised. Rose ami Mr. 1». Thoinp son. GENERAL NEWS. Airs. A. M. Fraser. Feiiding. and Mr. M McNamara, Auckland, who have been staying with Mr. and Airs. J. Fraser, have returned to their respective homes. Miss E. Fraser, of Feiiding. is now staying with Mr. and Mrs. .1. Fraser. Miss Cornelius, Ashburton, is staying with Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Carr. Miss E. Dei hl has gone to stay with her sister and brother at Packakariki. .Miss A. Boshier returned from Matamata on Saturday morning. The final in the men's A grade golf championship was won by Air. T. Alorgan. The B grade championship was won by A. MeCaskie, who deefated D. T. Couper, 2 and 1. In the ladies’ competition, played on Saturday, Misses C. Meads ami H. Wood finished all square. Playing on the home ground on Saturday, the junior football team do feated the Apiti team by 11 points to nil. Trios were scored by R. Brooker. S Thompson and W. Hyde. L. Thompson converted one. . Mr. A. Tompkins was referee. The local team, with one more match to play, are undefeated in the Mitchell Shield competition. RANGIWAHIA RUAHINE DAIRY COMPANY. The following are the main items of the annual report and balance-sheet, to bo presented by the directors of the above company to their shareholders at the annual meeting next Saturday:— “Consistent with the experience of; a number of other butter-fat companies, the output this year has fallen, and is 28 tons lower than last year. The total quantity of butter produced was 252 tons 14cwt. 231 b. It is pleasing to announced that after the printing of the last report and balance-sheet that the factory’s butter for the 1933-34 season had topped the grading list of all far tories grading butter for export in New Zealand. For the year just ended it is found from the statistics that the average grade is even higher this year than last, being 94.90. The shareholders will therefore await, with interest, the publication of the Dominion grading list, w'hich should appear towards the end of August. ‘‘ln the month of December last a start was made in supplying butter ou the local market, and about three tenths of the output was put into pats and sold on the local market. Of the balnace, 62 tons were sold f.0.b., and 117 tons consigned overseas. “As regards pay-out, the manufacturing and trading account shows that, a pay-out. for the season is provided for of 9.36 d per lb. of butter-fat after allowing for a probable dividend payment of 5 per cent, on all share capital. It is proposed to pay, towards the end of August, a bonus of Id per lb. on all butter-fat supplied during the season. Messrs. K. AV. Pemberton and F. W. Thompson are the retiring directors.” METHODIST CHURCH. Sunday school anniversary services were held in the Methodist Church on Sunday. Rev. R. Hatchett conducted a service both in the morning and in the evening. Anniversary hymns were sung by the Sunday School scholars. Solo parts were takeu by Heather and Eileen Fankhauser, and Ola Monk and Valerie Jones. Much credit is due to Mrs. Patchett for the way she had trained the children.
