VISIT TO THE POPE VATICAN CITY, Aug. 5. “The name of Germany calls to mind many joyful and many sad things,” said the Pope in receiving young German Catholics. ' He added: “It is sad to think of the struggle being maintained against God and Christ for modern paganism. 1 am joyful to know that so many are pious and strong in the faith.”
