PROBABLY STILL ALIVE

CAPTURED MISSIONARIES Received Aug. 6, J 0.25 p.m. MELBOURNE, Aug. 6. Advice has been received by tire Home Director for Australasia of the China Mission that two Chinese Christians, at the risk of their lives, had penetrated the section of Hunan held by the Communists, and had been in communication with the captive missionaries, Messrs Hayman (a New Zealander) and Bosshart, as recently as July 27. The missionaries were captured by the Chinese Reds last August, and there has been uncertainty as to their fate ever since.
