OHAKEA

CARD EVENING. On Wednesday night a card tournament was held in aid of the Douglas Social Credit Movement. Members from the Bulls branch also attended and an enjoyable evening was spent playing flag 500. The winners were Mesdames Rich (Bulls) and J. Capstick (Ohakea) and Messrs. Churchill (Bulls) and J. Capstiek (Ohakea). The consolations were won by Mesdames F. Simpson and F. Ralfe (Bulls) and Messrs. D. o’Connell and L. Koberstein.

HALL AFFAIRS, A card evening was held in aid of the hall funds ‘on Thursday night and a successful evening was spent. The most games of cards were won by Mrs. Natzke and Mr. Joe Cole.
