CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES

Life was the subject of the lessonsermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday July 2.1. The golden text was from Psalms 36:7-9, “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings—and thou shall make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the mountain of life.” Among the citations whiMh comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible, “Varily, I say unto you, if a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Iu the pathway of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.” (John 8:51, Prov. 12:28). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptu res ” by Al ary Baker Eddy, 4 ‘ Nothing really has life but God, who is infinite life; hence all is life and death has no dominion. It is a sin to believe that, ought can overpower omnipotent and eternal life, and this life must be brought, to light by the understanding that there is no death as well ns by other graces of spirit.” (pp. 3 17, 428).
