“ROBERTA”

GORGEOUS GOWNS AND FURS “Never have I seen such gorgeous frocks and luxurious furs, and rich costuming,” was the remark heard last evening as pations were coming down the stairs ot the Plaza Theatre, indeed, many people were charmed by “Roberta,” the musical romance screened for the lirst Lime yesterday, and particularly were the feminine patrons thrilled' with the frocking and the handsome and very expensive furs worn by the tsars in the film. A Paris gown shop is the background of the intriguing subject of love. It is impossible to give even the faintest idea of the bounty and design of the furs worn, it is sufficient to say that the garments wore insured for 250,000 dollars. New and alluring fashion creations presented by a bevy of beautiful girls, glorious gowns, line and spectacular dancing and lilting melodies makes bright entertainment. An alluring gown of gold satin trimmed with bands of red fox fur is one of the many glittering frc-cks worn while just to mention a second gown, is one fashioned of glistening liny cut-steel beads. It was created by the world-known dress artist, Bernard Newman.
