A FORTHCOMING COMEDY Lovers «.•£ plays always look forward to the Repertory Society productions and their next offering, m the capable hands of Airs. Sydney Rankin, who has many times proved her excellence as producer, will be “Ambrose Applejchn’s Adventure,” a comedy in three acts. The dressing and stage setting will be particularly attractive, for as well as two scenes in which modern frocks are worn, there is a very spectacular scene of a “pirate ship,” cleverly carried out in design and colour and which forms a striking background for the rich hues of the elaborate costumes adorned with ruffles of those taking the leading parts', and the gay attire of the ship’s boys and the Chinese bos’n. “Ambrose Applejohn's Adventure’’ is to be given next week and promises to be quite an affair in the theatrical life of the city. It is anticipated that there will be a great demand for tickets.
