RANGITIKEI HUNT CLUB
I STEEPLECHASE MEETING • NOMINATION'S ON FRIDAY ' On Wednesday, .July 24, jus! a fortI night from to-morrow, the annual steeplechase meeting of the Rangitikei • Hunt Club will be held on the Marton I racecourse. I The programme of seven events has I the Rangitikei Hunt Cup Steeplechase as its principal attraction, and this event, decided over a distance of two and a-half miles, carries haudsome trophies in addition to the stakemoney. The Riddiford Steeplechase is an event in which amateur riders ■compete. The horses entered for this event must be trained by amateurs and must he qualified hunters that have not won i a race to the value of £25 at a totalisator meeting. The distance is two miles and a distance. The remaining .jumping event, is the Rosebank Hack Hurdles over a mile and a hair. A maiden five furlong with special weights, seven-furlong ami six-furlong hack races, with the Olairi Ladies’ Bracelet, complete the programme. In the latter event, gentlemen riders are to be in the saddle, while the distance is one mile an<j a quarter. Fri<lay, July 12, at 9 p.m., is the vlosiug time of nominations with Mr A. Way. P.O.
