An appeal against his six months’ disqualification has been lodged with the Wanganui District Committee by . the jockey J. Walsh. The appeal will be heard next Tuesday. In the Kawa Kawa Hurdles on the opening day of the Feilding Jockey Club’s Easter meeting Walsh was the rider on Sunny Song, who was the favourite on the totailsator. After being well back for the greater part of the journey Sunny Song finished in fifth place, and Walsh was later suspended L for six months, it being held that the horse had not been ridden on its merits. It. is against this decision that Walsh . is appealing.
