ST. JAMES’ THEATKE. One of the greatest casts of screen, stage and radio stars ever assembled comes to St. James’ Theatre, Hunterville, iu “Transatlantic Merry-Go-Round,” a sparkling comedy-drama with melody, mystery and romance, staged abroad a palatial ocean liner. Headed by Jack Benny, Nancy Carroll, and Gene Raymond, it includes Sydney Howard, who is known as England’s Chaplin, Mitzi Green, Sid Silvers, Frank Parker, The Boswell Sisters, Sidney Blacknier, Ralph Alorgan, Shirley Grey, Sam Hardy, Patsy Kelly, William Boyd, Jean Sargent, and .Jimmy Grier and his orchestra. Jack Benny’s broadcasts from the high seas, including imitations of famous screen personalities by the now grown-up Mitzi Green, songs by Frank Parker ’ and The Boswell Sisters, comedy by Ptasy Kelly, music b;. r Jimmy Grier and his orchestra, and elaborate dance ensembles by a bevy of Hollywood beaut ties, are high spot of this production. r Sammy Lee and Larry Ceballos di--5 rented the musical sequences in the L story, W'hich is from the pen of Leon ] Gordon. “It Was Sweet of Y’ou.” j “Rock and Roll,” and “Oh, Leo!” , three of the tuneful song hits in - “Transatlantic Merry-Go-Round.” were ■ written by Sidney Clare and Richard ■ Whiting, while a fourth. “Tf I Had a 3 Alillion Dollars,” was contributed by 1 Mercer and Malnick. Screening on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8.15 p.m.
