Following a quarrel with his mother a 21-year-old mechanic broke into a wardrobe at his home at Hamilton and stole £9. He then came to Wellington. He was admitted to hospital here and a- rested on his discharge, when he admitted taking the money and spending it on clothing and fares. Charged to-day in the Court, he pleaded guilty. His father explained that his son was knocked down some years ago by a car and had been under medical '•are frequently since. He asked the ■ *<£Lstrate to give him a chance so that he could take him home and look after him. Accused was convicted and ordered io come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months.
