STEWARD DISAPPEARS. [ Par Press (usoeufloa. I AUCKLAND. March 22. Two days after the Monterey left Los Angeles, a steward named F. Ryan disappeared. An Australian by birth, he was married in Sydney only four months ago. A prominent unionist, he was delegate on the Monteiey of the United States Stewards’ Union, and his shipmates said that he was one of the most popular men in the Matson Line.
