RESTRICTIONS LIFTED

UNITED STATES WHEAT. GREATER AREA TO BE SOWN. WASHINGTON, March 20. Thp Agricultural Adjustment Coinmission has lifted the restrictions on planting spring wheat and farmers have reported that 17,847,000 acres will be planted, an increase of 8,557,000 acres over 1934. Secretary Wallace said that ho would permit 10 per cent, to plant the full acreage and compensate for it by a larger reduction of acreage in 1936. The action was taken to avoid a reduction of yield and the possible importa tions of wheat resulting from a possible recurrence of droughts in several major wheat-producing States where the rain fall and subsoil moisture were still sub normal.
