WANGANUI GYMKHANA HILL CLIMBS AND COMPETITIONS 'lhe Wanganui [Sports Motor-cycle Club held its gymkhana last week-end, the first events taking place on the property of Messrs. Towgood, No. 1 Line. The various events were keenly contested, most of the riders showing a degree of skill and finished riding which was fascinating to watch and resulted in some close finishes. Following are the results of the gymkhana:— Relay Teams Race (five-a-side). — Clark’s team 1, Cawston’s team 2. "Won by 12secs. Bending Race. —C. Davis (34 Aerial) 1, L. Lawrence (3$ Enfield) 2. Cigarette Race. —T. Salt (3i 8.5. A.) 1, B. Roberts (3| Enfi-eld) 2. Slow Race—C. Davis (34 Aerial) 1, T. Salt (3| 8.5. A.) 2. The club’s hill-climbing championship and a handicap climb were run off on the Matarawa Hill, half a mile winding clay road, with a rough and very loose surface, times being on the slow side in consequence.
