S.P.C.A. EXECUTIVE
MONTHLY MEETING HELD The fnonthly meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Crueltv to Animals (Wanganui branch) Executive was held in Wanganui yesterday, Mr C. N. Strouts presiding. Also present "*were Mcsdames Cross, Wickham, Aylmer, P. Lewis, Osborne and Miss Shaw, also Messrs Burnet, Cross and the inspector. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr C. C. Brownie, who supplied the motor-truck, and to Messrs Hood, Bristol and Roland Young, who rendered valuable assistance at the recent carnival. Mr Bennett was appointed to act as collector for the sv’ety. An appeal will be made by the president through the newspapers. It was decided that the next meeting should take place in three weeks’ time.
