HOSPITAL BOARDS' ASSOCIATION STRATFORD AT.LEGATIONS [ Per Pres* Association. ] STRATFORD, March 19. An allegation that the New Zealand Hospital Boards’ Association was ruled by the city boards and that the smaller boards, receive scant consideration at the conference was macle by Mr T. R. Anderson, Stratford delegate at the last conference. Reporting to the Stratford Board, be said it seemed that small boarw such as Stratford were expected to support everything the city boards brought forward, but the latter gave no support to remits from the smaller ones. It appeared to the small boards that political influence was being exploited without any return being made. Mr Anderson said that he left the conference before its conclusion because there seemed no chance of getting remits satisfactorily dealt with. J. Cormick said the association was merely for the benefit of the large boards. He moved that Stratford resign from the association as a protest. If the other boards followed the lead they might get a fairer deal. The chairman, Mr. W. L. Kennedy, agreed that the position was unsatisfactory bV- thought resignation unwise. The trouble was that the small boards did not pull together. Other members agreed that the position was unsatisfactory but after a long discusison ihe motion was lost. _
