TENNIS CLUB. ' The final match for the Haythorne! Cup was played on the local courts on' Saturday, between the home team and 1 the Apiti team. Bangiwahia proved the winners by 15 sets (119 games) to nine sets (94 games). Bangiwahia won two sets by default. By this win Bangiwahia have eight points for the Haythorne Cup, Apiti four and Kimbolton two. So, although two games had been postponed, Bangiwahia wins the cup and the other two games need not be played. The games scores were (Apiti players being mentioned first): — Ladies 4 Singles.—Mrs. Kilgour beat Miss B. Martin, 6—4; Miss M. Osbourne beat Miss G. Morgan, 6—4; Miss L. Osborne lost to Miss D. Collie, 2—6; Mrs. A. B. McNae lost to Miss T. Kreger, 4—6; Mrs. Waterson beat Miss A. Carey, B—6; Mrs. Duncan lost to Miss Boshier, 3—6. Men’s Singles.—D. Kearney lost to B. Saywell, 5—7; T. Marshall lost to Jones, I—6; C. Osborne beat N. Saywell, 6—2; E. Schmidt beat C. Saywell. 7 —5; H. Watson lost to P. Jewell, I—6;1 —6; A. R. McNae lost to S. Moess, 2—6. Ladies’ Doubles.—Mrs. Kilgour and Mrs. Duncan lost, to Misses Martin and Morgan, 2—6; Misses Osborne beat Misses Collie and Kreger, 6 —3; Mesdames Waterson and McNae beat Misses Carey and Boshier, 7 —5.
