WAGES AND HOURS THE BIENNIAL CONFERENCE — [ Ter Press Association J WELLINGTON, Feb. 9. The biennial conference of the Ainal gamated Society of Railway Servants passed a resolution calling on the Government to restore wages cuts and urg ing an instant general advance on a shorter working week, also viewing with serious apprehension the tendency to retain members in the department after reaching 60, and requesting the Government to immediately set up an independent tribunal to deal with members’ claims for improved working conditions and adequate wages.
