JANUARY SALE PROCEEDS GROSS CASH TOTALS £188,273 AVERAGE PRICE PER BALE £B, 13, 1 Wanganui’s January wool sain yielded a gross cash return of £188,273 0s 4d. The average price per bale was £8 13s 4d and 5.789 d per lb. A total of 26,124 bales was offered and 21,721 were sold. It is interesting to know that the distribution of the Wanganui clip was well spread. Bradford purchased tho bulk of tho offering, but Japan, America and the Continent took varying quotas. Centres to which the wool has been consigned include London, Glasgow, Hull, Girlie, Hamburg, Antwerp, Dunkirk, Rotterdam, Gydnia (Poland), Bremen, Blumenthal (near Hamburg), Now York, Osaka, Kobe, Boston, QucKe, Paris (Ontaria), Halifax, Philadelphia, Melbourne, Sydney, and Norokoping.
