With a cast of more than 5000, headed by George Robey, Anna May Wong, and Fritz Kortner, it is a colossal presenta tion of Oscar Aschc’s great London stage success, which ran at His Majesty’s Theatre, London, throughout the war pferiod. The director, Walter Forde, had made every effort in the preparation of the film to ensure an authentic background of the period of Haroun al Raschid, and with the assistance of Arthur Upham Pope, an authortiy on Persian art and arcliae °logy. an enormous amount of material was collected.
