COMPLETE AGREEMENT CHANCELLOR AND IL DUCE CLOSE CO-OPERATION (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright FLORENCE, Aug. 21. Elaborate pageantry marked the arrival of the Austrian Chancellor, Dr. Schuschnigg, from Vienna to confer with Signor Mussolini. The platform was lined with Fascists, including small boys carrying dummy rifles. Signor Mussolini wore a dark suit ami while yachting cap. He greeted the visitor in German, as trumpeters, dressed in medieval Florentine costume, played a fanfare. Dr. Schuschuigg, pale and nervous, accompanied the Duce to the Villa marinin, where a discussion took place on the economic situation of Austria and the Danubian countries. A joint statement is expected, expressing a determination to keep Austria independent. Dr. Schuschuigg subsequently announced a complete agreement with Signor Mussolini not only on general but on Austro Italian problems. The most important result of th# Florence conversations is that Dr Schuschnigg and Signor Mussolini agreed that active collaboration be tween Italy and Austria was necessary.
