MARRIED WOMEN TEACHERS

INTERESTING APPEAL ( Ter FreM Association. J AUCKLAND, July 4. Comment was made at the Education Board meeting on a rejection by tho Court of Appeal by a married woman, teacher against her dismissal after her marriage. The case settles an important principle, said the chairman, Mr. T. U. Wells. The principle is that if a woman teacher chooses to marry a man, who is out of employment, she accepts her husband’s status and must be prepared to suffer a certain amount of hardship. She cannot then come to the board and complain. Members commented that there were two other similar cases to be considered and the decision affected other boards also.
