.ALTERATIONS BEING MADE. THE DIANA’S FEATURES. LONDON, July 3. , As the outcome of the visit of the Australian airman, Mr. Brain, a now type of scuts will be fitted in the .Diana designed of cromium coated •reel and leather to give airiness and comfort in the tropics, and adjustable scat backs. Mr, Bruin expects to fly the Diana to Brisbane in September, studying landing grounds cn route. Quantas pilots will then have at least two months to familiarise themselves with the ’plane and get a perfect knowledge of instrument flying, night flying, and the use of radio, which has j not been carried out with single-cn- | gined machines. I The Diana is equipped with, selfstarters similar to a motor-car. Mr. Brain is pleased with the ventilation and lack of vibration and noise in the cabin. The first service will be from Brisbane on December 10, from Singapore on IDecembcr 17, arriving for Christinas.
