THE RAETHH SALE. Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., report on their usual fortnightly sale held at Ractihi on Friday last as follows:—lncluded in our offering of ' 2000 sheep was an e.try of Mr. R. M. Cresswell’s flock of 850 mixed-aged ewes and 250 ewe hoggets. These sheep came forward in splendid order and elicited keen competition, practically the whole being purchased by buyers from outside districts, the ewes overall averaging 32s 4d, while the ewe hoggets realised 25s 6d We quote: On account of Air. Cresswell, ewes mated with Romneys, 200 two-tooth 33s 7d, 70 ditto 31s 9d. 109 four-tooth 31s 7d, 257 six-tooth 32s Bd, 64 four-ycai-old 31p Id. 145 ditto 30s Id, 232 ewe hoggets 25s 6d. On account of others vendors, medium two-tooth ewes running with Romneys 28s 6d, soundl mouth ewes running with Southdowns 22s 8d to 24s 4d, ditto Romneys 19s Id, medium /wether hoggets 16s 8d to 17s 7d, small ditto 14s Id to 14s 6d, small ewe hoggets 17s 2d to 20s (id. Cattle sold at late rates. MANGAWEKA SALE. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report on their entry of 1050 sheep at Mangaweka Sale on Thursday last: —Heavy rain fell during the day, but a good attendance of buyers competed fully for all lots and a very satisfactory sale resulted.
