ACCEPTANCES MISSED F. J. SMITH AT AUCKLAND. UNFORTUNATE DELAV. [ Per Press .• ssocTatlon. ’ AUCKLAND. -June 25. Owing to being a few minutes lute in making his acceptance to-day, F. J. Smith will be unable to start any of his horses at the Auckland Tro-tting Club’s meeting on Wednesdy. He intended to accept with six horses, the only ones entered that would not have had their engagements continued being Chancellor and Nell Volo. Smith put a ring through from his home, at Papakura but before he could get into communication with the Auckland Trotting Club’s office it. was a few minutes after closing time and the acceptance could not be taken.
