A tragedy occurred thiA evening when Frederick Longman, 58, a painter, married, residing at Waiknwa, slipped and fell head first down, a well on his property. The well contained three feet of water, and when Longham was extricated a few minutes later by his son and a neighbour, he was dead. The well was fi' c foot deep and twa feet in diameter.
