MARKETS QUIET
DAIRY PRODUCE IN LONDON. The markets for both butter and cheese in London arc quiet, according to the weekly cabled report receiveon Saturday by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board, and wholesale prices have a slightly easier tendency. Retail prices for New Zealand produce are unchanged, butter selling at lOd per pound and cheese at 6d. Wholesale quotations for butter arc: —New Zealand, salted, 72s to 73s per cwt. (which equals approximately 8.29 d per lb, f.0.b.); uusalted, 72s to 735; Australian, salted, 70s to 71s; Danish, spot, 85s (last week 925); Argentine, 70s; South African, 60s to 695; Dutch, 69s to 78s; Latvian, 7.1 s to 725; Lithuanian, salted, 70s, unsalted 725. The butter stock position is as follows: — April 6, April 6, Tons.
