CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MOVE 1 Per Pi-ess Association. 1 WELLINGTON, April 6. A movement started by the Associated Chambers of Commerce, if taken up throughout New Zealand by local bodies generally, will probably,* by following the lead of the Wellington City Council, result in the introduction of by-laws governing building for the purpose of securing protection against earthquakes. The executive of the Associated Chambers has communicated with its constituent chambers asking them to urge upon their respective local bodies the necessity of bringing into force reasonable regulations with regard to earthquake-resisting buildings*
