WEATHER FORECAST
Meteorological Office, Wellington, Sunday, April 1, 4 p.m. General Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone covers New Zealand and ihe Tasman, its centre being east of the South Island, where pressure this morning was over 30.5 inches. Forecast—Winds: South to east predominating, fresh in some exposed positions, otherwise light to moderate. Seas (New Zealand waters): Bather rough on parts of the east coast of the North Island, elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh south-east to north-east winds, and moderate seas. Weather: Fine in western districts and the interior, cloudy in eastern districts, with misty rain at times between Cook Strait and East Cape and in the far north, i'omperaturcs cool to moderate. The New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, report for 24 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday: Bright sunshine, 4 hours 10 minutes. Rainfall, nil. Shade temperature: Maximum, 62 dog. Fahr.; minimum, 49 deg. Fahr.
