T. Clcanell Fenwick, Dominion Chief Commissioner of Buy Scouts, has left for the West Coast to inspect Scout troops. Mr. H. Horner, headmaster of Hampden Street School, Nelson, has been appointed headmaster of the Whangarei Primary School and will asrive at Whangarei early next month. Mr. J. F. Ewen has been appointed joint honorary treasurer, with Air. E. A. Craig, to the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Belief Association, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Sir Alfred Bankart. Father Bressers, who has been in charge of the Roman Catholic parish at Tauranga for several years, has been transferred •to Panguru, North Auckland. He will be succeeded at Tauranga by Dean Lightheart, of Panguru. Mr. N. Wade, president of the New Zealand Kenriel Club, and Mr. D. j Wilson, president of the Hamilton Kennel Club, have been selected as two of the five judges in the dog section of the Sydney Royal Show, to bo held next Easter. Le Pine (Wellington); Air. F. B. Hein (Czecho-Slovakia). Seven Roman Catholic priests arrived at Wellington fioui Sydney by the Monowai on Tuesday. Two of them, the Rev. Fathers P. Zundoiovich, of Wilcannia, New South Wales, and W. Byrne, C.SS.R., arc visiting Wellington for Archbishop Redwood’s jubilee. The Rev. Fathers <.», B. O’Meeghan and J Maguire, of the Catholic Cathedral, Christchurch, returned after a \ isit to Sydney. The Rev. Father AL Hanigan, C.SS.R., of Perth, is entering St. Gerard ’s Monastery, Wellington, and the Rev. Fath ers E. Gallagher and B. Courtenay are going to Holy Cross ’College, Mosgiel. The funeral of the late Airs Janet Henderson took place on Thursday afternoon, the cortege leaving the residence, Crofton Road, Alarton, for the Mount View Cemetery. There was a very large attendance, over fifty cars following the remains to the graveside. Alcssages of sympathy and many beautiful wreaths, including floral tributes from the Alarton A. and P. Association, the Alarton Fire Brigade and the Alarton Athletic Club showed the great respect and love which was felt for Airs. Henderson by all sections of the community. The Rev. D. Afclvor conducted tho services at the homo and the graveside. Messrs Clarence and Kenneth Gibbons and Jack Henderson (grandson?), and James and Harry Alorrison and Leslie Wilson (nephews), were the pallbearers
