TERRITORIAL ARMY. VOL U NTEER ORGAN IS A TION. DUBLIN, Feb. 7. Mr. Aiken announced in the Dail that the Government proposed to establish a volunteer territorial army of 24,000 at a cost of £143,000. It would be composed of three groups, one group consisting of territorials between 18 and 25 years of ago; another consisting of men under 45; and the third consisting of men between 45 and 55. The training would be at the drill hall and camps. Mr. Mulcahy said that the scheme was amazing and costly. Twenty officers appointed to organise tho now army had formerly prolongedly attacked the Free State. It would not replace the regular army. A member of tho Dail interrupted ami used tho word “Irregular.” Mr. de Valera rejoined: ‘‘Forces which opposed me in .1922 were irregulars.
