Atlantic Air Mail
GERMAN SERVICE STARTS EUROPE TO SOUTH AMERICA (By Telegraph—-Press Association—Copyright) Received Feb. 8, 9.15 p.m. NATAL (Brazil), Feb. 7. The first regular transatlantic air mail service linking Europe and South America by the catapult-equipped Lufthansa and the mothership Westphalen, became a reality to-day with the arrival of tho German flying-boat Typhoon with European mail, and the departure for Europe of cargo from Rio de Janeiro. The Typhoon brought in more than JOOlbs. of mail which h_.d left Stuttgart, Germany’, on Saturday morning. A Condor syndicate ’plane took the mail southward to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires.
