JOURNALISTS’ COMPETITION
AWARDS ANNOUNCED. [ Ter Fre« Association. J AUCKLAND, IDec. 22. Tho results of the aixth annual competition in practical journalism, conducted by the New Zealand Journalists’ Association, are announced. Tho first prize has been awarded to Mr. E. 0. Marris, Christchurch Sun. and the second prize to Air. E. Axford, New Zealand Herald. The conditions of the competition were altered this year, entrants being required to submit four articles representing the full range of journalistic work. Tho judges were Air. Percy Bell, of tho Dunedin Evening Star, and Professor G. E. Thompson, professor of modern languages at the University of
