AN ELECTION SEQUEL SUPPORT FOR STRIKERS [ Per Press Association. I CHRISTCHURCH, Dee. 20. The new tramway board, which consits almost wholly of Labour members, will receive a recommendation at its next- meeting from the Works Committee, that the members of the Tramway Union who were re-engaged after the strike in Alay, .1932, be restored to the seniority they lost on re-engagement. It the recommendation is adopted it will mean that several men now serving as conductors will be made motor-men, and in consequence a corresponding number of motor-men will be reduced to be conductors. It is stated, however, that the men reduced in status will not suffer a reduction in pay.
