KING’S COLLEGE MASTER

SUCCESSOR APPOINTED AUCKLAND, Dec. 16. Recognition of the service to education rendered by Mr .1. U. Collins, first us-istant master at King's College, who retired yesterday after 47 years’ teach ing, was made by the college staff and scholars yesterday. Prior to the prizegiv ng ceremony Air. Collins was the rccipent of presentations from the staff and boys. Tributes to the splendid services, of Mr. Collins were paid by the headmaster, the Rev. H. K. Archdall. and Archbishop Averill. It was intimated that the board of governors had appointed Air. H. B. I usk, ALA., LL.B., to be successor to Mr. Collins.
