Visiting Band.

A visit is to be paid to Wanganui in a i'oitnight’s time by the Port Nicholson Band, which will spend the weekend here. Summer Uniforms. Members of the Queen Alexandra’s Own Band provided the Wanganui public with something rather new in the way of summer uniforms when they nlavcd at the Public Hospital grounds •cniersay afternoon. White trousers, blue double-breasted coats and uniform .-aps gave them a more seasonable appearance in the bright sunshine than do the more orthodox uniforms. It will be remembered that during the Carnival Week last February the “Queen Alecs” sprang a pleasant surprise on citizens by appearing in "shirts and shorts.”
