BUTTER MARKET IMPROVES. CHEESE PRICES STEADY. There was a slight improvement in the London butter market on Wednesday, quotation arising 2s to 3s a cwt. to 735, 745. The cheese market was slow, but steady. Joseph Nathan and Co.. Ltd., have received from their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advise, dated November 2s:—New Zealand butter: 73s to 74s per cwt. Quiet. New Zealand cheese: White, 49a per cwt.; coloured, 48s. Steady. A. H. Turnbull and Co.. Ltd., have received the following cable from their principals, W. Wcddel and Co., Ltd., London, dated November 29:—Butter: Danish, 112 s. New Zealand, finest, 71s to 745. Kangaroo, finest, 69s to 725. Cheese: New Zealand white. 45s to 50s; New Zealand, coloured, 46s to 475. Markets steadier. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have re-
ceived the following advice from their London house, dated November 29: Dairy produce (last week’s quotations in parentheses):—Butter: New Zealand, choicest salted, 73s per cwt. (80s to 81s). Market steadier. Cheese: White, 49s per cwt. (47s to 48s). Small supplies available. Cheese: Coloured, 47s per cwt. (47s to 48s). Market slow. Messrs. Henry A. Lane and Co., Ltd., Hawera, have received the following cabled market report from their Loni don principals:—New Zealand butter: Finest 735, first 71s; unsettled market. New Zealand Cheese: —White 48s, coloured 465; market easier.
