PERSONAL. Members of the Pa tea Post Office staff recently presented a case of cut lery to Mr. F. Connor, who was under notice of transfer to Morrinsville. Mi. G. R. Taylor, postmaster, in making the presentation, voiced the regret they felt at Mr. Connor’s impending departure from Patea. Mr. Co«r.io- briefly replied. PUBLIC SCHOOL SPORTS. FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL. The Patea and District Public Schools’ Amateur Athletic Association will hold the annual football end basketball tournament at Patea tomorrow. The tournament will begin at 1.15 a.m. sharp and is timed to finish before 2.30 p.m. in order to allow players and spectators to take part in the ceremony of unveiling the Turi Memorial. The draw for the different divisions have been made as follows: — Junior Football. 10.15 a.m.: Patea A v. Patea Convent 10’31 a.m.: Patea B v. Kakaramea.. 10.47 a.m.: Waverloy A v. Hurley ville. 11.3 a.m.: Waitotara v. Waverley B. •11.20 a.m.: Waverley Convent v. winner of first game. 11.37 a.m.: Alton v. winner of second game. Senior Football. 11.52 a.m.: Patea Convent v.
