On Tuesday afternoon members of tho Rangitikei Ladies’ Golf Chib tendered a welcome home afternoon to Misses O. and P. Lovett. A foursome was played, the winners being Mcsdames Hendry and Smart. Miss McKenzie, in the absence of the club captain, welcomed the Misses Levctt, and Miss (). Levctt thanked all for their cordial welcome. THE PICTURES. “On Our Selection” will be shown at the Town Hall on Saturday evening, and Steele Rudd’s well-known comedy of farm life needs no introduction. Tho cast is an all Australian one, with Bert Bailey as “Dad.” THE FOOTBALLERS’ BALL. The Town Hall looked brilliant on Wednesday evening when a record crowd turned up for the Bulls Football Club’s annual ball. The hall decora tions were blue and gold streamers; goal posts at cither end; and the “field” marked by football flags on the. walls. The supper room was tastefully decorated in rod and white, and the tables were artistically arrayed with autumn flowers. The scheme of tho main decorations was worked out by Air. Mat. Bevan, and of tho supper room by Airs. S. Armstrong, and great credit is due to them for their work. The supper arrangements were complete and satisfying. Airs. F. Cutts and an army of ladies having this depart incut right up to the high standard set in former years. Bramwell’s Orchestra played delightful music, and the
AI.C. ’s were Alcssrs. D O ’Connell, J. Coogan, L. F. Homes and F. Cutts, jnr. Extras were played by Miss J. Boobycr. AJesdamcs O’Connell, Rcweti, Bramwell and AL Winiata. Miss Wereta and Air. Winiata also gave a vocal duet
