Dashing Hurdles Display.
Adventus was in front practically all tho way in the Trent ham Hurdles, giving a dashing display. He paced Paddon and Solanio to tho second hurdles, which tho trio jumped at flatracing pace, Paddon bungling it, as indeed he did most of his hurdles. When challenged Adventus easily held his own, and aided by good hurdling he scored easily. Paddon was not very well handled, but all tho same it did not look as if he would have beaten Adventus, whoso recovery from his accident at Hastings a month earlier was rather remarkable. The two southerners, Membo and Gold Knight, made bold showings in the Trentham Hurdles, and it is apparent that this pair may moke matters very interesting for the northerners in the Winter Hurdles on Saturday. Gold Knight was full of running when he got up second, ami Membo, too, was showing his best passing the judge. With the longer journey on Saturday Membo looks a really good prospect. High Faintin’ failed rather badly in tho Trentham Hurdles; he crashed at tho very first fence and was lame back and front after it, having apparently fallen very heavily.
