Supreme Court Bench owing to the retirement on August 3 next of Mi. Jutiee Adams, who is at present on extended leave. It is the intention of tin Government to till the vacancy, and the question of appointing a successor is at. present engaging the attention ol Cabinet. It is not likely that any on nouncoinont will bp made until the re tirement of Mr. Justice Adams actually takes effect.
